Paintings by the artist Arseneca
The artist Arseneca has a unique and personal approach to painting. His creative process is broken down into several distinct stages, all of which reflect his desire for authenticity and spontaneity.
First of all, unlike most artists, Arseneca chooses to paint directly on a rigid support placed on the ground. This horizontal position allows him to fully immerse himself in his work, to be in direct contact with it. Absent from his tools: the traditional paintbrush. Instead, he opts for a much more personal instrument: his fingers, or even his whole hand. Through this choice, he introduces a raw spontaneity into his work, each movement and each gesture being guided by his intuition and his emotion of the moment.
The colors used by Arseneca are often raw, rarely mixed, which gives her works a particular intensity and purity. The vibrant and distinct tones oppose and dialogue with each other, creating a rich and contrasting visual symphony.
Once this first step is completed, the canvas is then stretched on a frame. It is at this moment that the artist returns to his work, reworking certain details, refining his vision, but without ever losing the energy and spontaneity of the first draft.
Arseneca does this because he believes in a deep and intimate connection with his art. Working directly on the ground, as close as possible to the canvas, allows him to feel rooted, in harmony with his creation. Using your hands and fingers is a way of leaving a very personal imprint, of infusing the work with your essence. The raw colors reflect his desire for truth, for an unvarnished representation of the world as he sees it. Finally, by reworking the canvas once stretched, he combines spontaneity and reflection, intuition and technique, to give birth to a complete and deeply personal work
